Cataratas mon amour
De cielo y tierra: piedras del Norte entre aguas del Sur. Eternamente rojas, unas pirámides se abren paso entre cataratas verdes y espesas como el agua en caída. Pues no todo lo sólido se diluye en aire.
Esta serie de collages fue realizada con fotografías que, tomadas en las pirámides de Teotihuacán (México) y en las Cataratas del Iguazú (Argentina), luego fueron intervenidas manualmente, como quien descorre cuidadosamente el velo que hace real el fantasma. Así, en el cruce de escenarios naturales y enigmáticas intervenciones surgen los personajes que transitan esa frontera donde la luz se revela y salva, del olvido, el negativo de cada pregunta: ¿no fue así también?
Peregrinos y leves, los personajes atraviesan con sus pasos la invocación que los retiene. De fondo, remota como una música inabarcable, se oye la voz del agua milenaria y de la piedra precolombina. Y el eco sorprendente del diálogo enamorado entre la imagen y su semejanza.

Waterfalls mon amour
From heaven and from the land: northern stones plunged into southern waters. Perpetually red, pyramids break through green and thick waterfalls, just as the water falling down. For not all solids melt into air.
This collage series consists of shots taken in the pyramids of Teotihuacan (Mexico) and in the Iguazu Falls (Argentina), then manually intervened, as if carefully lifting the veil which makes the phantom real. Thus, in this intersection of natural settings and whimsical interventions, characters emerge as if moving in a boundary where the light reveals itself and saves, from oblivion, the negative answer to every question: was it not so?
These gentle figures walk like pilgrims through the invocation that retains them. In the background, remote like an immeasurable music, there is the voice of the millenary water and the Precolombine stone. And the astonishing echo of the dialogue in love between the image and its resemblance.
